John McCain, recognizing the economic drag high oil prices were having on our economy, and the dependence on imported oil has on our national security advocated developing more domestic resources at home. As I described before, Professor Martin Feldstein of Harvard, a preeminent economist shows that this will have a short-term effect on prices, despite what many Democrats said.
Now, apparently, some Democrats are paying attention, as the Senior Senator from Illinois Dick Durbin (and possibly Harry Reid) are on board.
Vote for Leadership in November...
